FAQ

What do I need to bring to the photographic session?

- Studio – Any favourite toy or treats, although I will have a supply of treats at the studio.

- location – any favourite toys or treats, although I will also have a supply of treats.

I  also ask that for the session they are wearing a collar with a clip lead not a harness.

You will need to wear appropriate foot wear, such as walking boots or wellingtons.

What if my dog is nervous?

- Studio – On arrival we let your pet wander around the studio so they get used to the environment and the shooting area. While they are exploring I will test-fire the flash lighting to get them used to it. There is no time restriction on the session, so if your pet takes longer to settle this is not a problem.

- Location – I would look to choose a quite setting of my suggestion or one that is familiar to yourselves.

What if my dog cannot be let off the lead on location?

- This is not a problem as for a lot of the shots I ask the dog to be kept on the lead to allow me to best position them in the location. All leads will be removed in post production editing.

How long does a session take?

- Studio – This normally last between one to two hours, but if your pet takes longer to settle or needs more breaks this is not a problem.

- Location – Depending on the location the average is two to four hours.

Should I walk my dog before the session?

- Studio – A short walk a few hours before you arrive is a good idea, but I don’t advise your dog arrives too tired.

- Location – Only if your dog is very energetic I would advise a short walk before the session.

Does my dog need to be groomed before a session?

- If you normally have your dog groomed, I would recommend having this done a couple of weeks before the session. Otherwise just a clean brushed presentation is fine.

What if my pet has a toilet accident in the studio?

- The studio is hard wood floored, so this is not a problem, accident happen!

What if the weather is bad for a location shoot?

- I am happy to shoot in all weather but avoid the rain, so we would reschedule, as we want to capture the best possible images.
